Supermoon Pics from Last Night with a Standard Zoom Lens

So, I managed to take some pics last night of the supermoon. I was dropping someone off at LAX right around perigee, so all of the images I took off the side of the road were horrible, since there were tall buildings everywhere and nothing but street and parking lot lights blocking my shots.

When I got home, I played around on my porch, knowing that my wimpy 105mm lens wasn't going to do much. I could see more detail with my bare eye, but it was still fun to play around with. One day, I'll hopefully have some bigger lenses and a telescope like Cory, so I can take some real astrophotography images! Make sure to check out his pics of last night's supermoon!

I figured if I was ever going to photos of the moon with my 5D Mark II at 105mm, it might as well be at perigee. So, if anyone was wondering, this is as good as it gets at 105mm. Crop in any more and things start looking distorted. I'm now trying to save up for this EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 lens, so hopefully I can get better moon closeups, where it would actually look "super".

Again, this is just me playing around with different shutter speeds and apertures, testing them out.
